Solar Decathlon India- Winners!!

Mehak Gupta, Swarnahiya Ganguly, Vishal Yadav and Arjun Naagal of batch 2019 MBS SPA had participated in Solar Decathlon India 2021-22 in the Community resilience shelter division with Team Tejasvi from IIT Ropar. And they won the first prize in the community resilience shelter division after 9 months of hard work. They all worked under one umbrella for 9 months virtually. The site was in the GolaGhat district of Assam and we made a Community resilience shelter that caters to around 120 people on vernacular architecture named 'Vansha Sahaya'.

    Site Visit
    MBS SPA conducted Site visit for First Year students to analyse the site which is finalised for designing a residential building. Students analysed the orientation, context, services and Connectivity along with measurements of the proposed site.They also gained knowledge from under construction residential sites nearby.

    Art is a great stress reliever. It can be an outlet for anyone who wants to express their emotions or a space to be creative. Using our hands and being inventive is good for our well-being. Keeping in view the same, a hands-on Art Workshop on “Best out of waste cycle tyres” for first year students was organized on19th and 20th May 2022 under the expert guidance of artist Jagmohan Bangani at MBS SPA Campus.

    The aim of conducting this workshop was to improve student’s visualization power and enhance their creativity and learn about various principles of art and design and provide the opportunity to engage and interact with one another as a team.
