‘Invisible Architecture' attempts to understand what could have been - it discusses the worth and value of ideas that did not leave architects’ tables. The lost competitions, or some even won, or disagreements with the clients, or disputes, some ideas that were far ahead of their time, some simply unbuildable.
Every architect who has spent a couple of years in the profession would have such stories to tell. There is a significant percentage of projects that remain unbuilt. Architecture cannot be merely appreciated based on what is there, but one also needs to evaluate - what could have been.
‘Invisible Architecture’ looks into some of these ideas which could not translate into buildings, and ideas that continue to be.
