Site Investigation, Analysis and Appraisal

MBS School of Planning and Architecture has taken an initiative to provide students with interesting interactive sessions with experts in the field and utilize this time for their exposure and learning. To achieve the above MBS School feels proud to organize a webinar on "Site Investigation, Analysis and Appraisal" on Saturday, 27th November, 11:00 AM onwards.

Dr. Jatinder Kaur

Dr. Jatinder Kaur is presently working in the School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi as Associate Professor in Architecture. She is a well-known artist, administrator and academician in the field of Architecture. Prior to serving at School of Planning & Architecture, Delhi, Dr. Jatinder Kaur had been the Registrar at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda apart from being the Professor and Head of GZS School of Architecture & Planning, MRSPTU, Bathinda. She has a vast experience of 24 years in teaching & research. She has more than 20 publications in journals and conferences at national and international level. She holds 2 patents in the form of Copyright and a Design registration. She has delivered invited talks and organized art workshops in leading universities, institutions and organizations of North India.

 

She was selected by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India for the “Knowledge Transformation Programme cum Field visit to Germany for the Energy Efficient Built Environment in India in 2018. A poster designed by her was selected by the Uttarakhand Government regarding breastfeeding under “Poshan Abhiyan” in 2019. She was the first runner-up in a poetry and sketching competition organized during 8th Seminar on Architecture for Masses (AFM 2021). She is an avid Artist who is trained in several arts and crafts.

Photography Competition

Topic: Photography Competition

Theme: “Emotions and Feelings”

“A corner that changes your mood”

There must be a cozy corner in your houses. In the daily lives hectic work schedules and the hustle-bustle, a cozy corner welcomes you with open arms.

It is a space that not only changes your mood but also will help you relax and become centered after you experience intense feelings of anger, frustration, or sadness.

MBS SPA is hosting an online Photography competition under the theme of “Emotions and Feelings.” Through this photography competition participants are required to showcase their favorite corner of their homes which optimistically affects their mood and emotions and makes them feel relaxed and happy. Participants are required to send maximum of 4 pictures along with a caption of not more than 50 words.

Through this photography competition participants are required to use their skills and showcase their talent. Participating in photography contests is a great way for one to get recognition and benchmark their work.

Instructions for the competition

  • The competition is open to all the students and faculties of MBS SPA; only one entry per contestant will be accepted.
  • Format: A-3 size photograph in 1:1 Ratio, jpeg, 3MB max.
  • Participants can use mobile/DSLR for the photographs.
  • Only basic editing allowed. No watermarks.
  • No post processing of the photograph in Photoshop software will be allowed.
  • Mail your entries to extracurricular@mbsarchitecture.org.in
  • Do not forget to mention your Name, Instagram handle, and Contact details in the mail.

A Holistic Approach to Mega Urban Infrastructure

Presenter:

Prof. Charanjit Shah

 

Prof Charanjit Singh Shah Architect, planner & infrastructure experts with 5 decades of practice. He is practicing architect, planner, author, scholar, educationist, teacher, art & architecture critic & practicing in creating sustainable green architecture. He is author of many books in Architecture & recently authored “Redefining Indian Sustainable Smart Cities”

 

His works speaks of his contribution looking beyond architecture & development of large infrastructure projects like Airport, Metro, Railway station, Transit Oriented Development, Inter Modal hub & creating Sustainable, Walkable, Cyclable neighborhood & creating Indian Sustainable Smart Cities of Tomorrow.

Rangoli Making Competition
MBS SPA is organizing a Rangoli Making Competition on the occasion of Deepawali. 
The theme of the competition is "Green Deepawali".
 
Format:  Instagram compatible Video/Reel with MBSSPA logo in bottom right hand side corner.    
Competition open to all students of MBS SPA.
The Last date of submission is on 2nd November 2021.
All the shortlisted entries will get an E- Certificate for Participation and will get a chance to be featured in the College Magazine.
